    A bucket of cold lagers while everyone finds a seat.

  2. 7:45From the grill

    Skewers straight off the charcoal, squid with sa tế, wings in fish-sauce caramel.

  3. 8:10The lẩu

    The pot comes to a boil on the burner. Everyone cooks their own.

  4. 8:40Round two

    A Rice Paddy, a kumquat margarita, a phin martini, and fries for the table.

    The long table seats twelve. Groups of eight or more who book ahead get it, no pushing tables together.

    Two screens over the bar, the sound on for the big games. Book the long table for groups of eight or more.

    Monday to Thursday, 4 to 6 pm: $2 off every skewer plate, $7 house cocktails, $4 lagers.

    Quân runs the grill he learned at his parents’ restaurant two blocks away. They opened LÚA in 2019 on one idea: the backyard table of their uncles, with good cocktails.

    We came for a birthday, twelve of us. Two pots of lẩu, a mountain of skewers, and they brought the cake out with the last round.
